“Fashion Takes Flight” with Luke’s Wings at Nationals Park this Saturday

By Punch Pep Correspondent Elizabeth Fischer

Come join me and many others on February 4th for an evening of fun, fashion, friends, philanthropy, and Van Gogh Cocktails.  It is the perfect time to spread your wings, meet new friends, reconnect with old friends and get involved with a worthwhile charity.

FTF-2012

Luke’s Wings is an organization “dedicated to the support of service members who have been wounded in battle.  Recognizing the immediate need for families to be with their loved ones at such a difficult time, Luke’s Wings provides families with the means to visit during the service member’s hospitalization and rehabilitation.  By purchasing travel agency services and travel tickets for loved ones, Luke’s Wings provides an immediate and invaluable service to the families of our men and women at arms while also helping to encourage and motivate the service member’s recovery.”  Luke’s Wings, headed by Founder Fletcher Gill, and under the direction of Executive Director of Business Development, Lindsay Kin, with the support of over fifty committed volunteers, believe that nothing is more important than having loved ones by the bedsides of America’s wounded warriors.

If you deem this a commendable cause, and I do since I have family and friends in the military, join the models and military service men and women as they “take flight” in a swank, high energy fashion runway event this Saturday.  Enjoy a night to remember while making a difference for those who serve our country and their families.  Plus you get to see the Nationals Park!

For tickets visit: http://fashiontakesflight2012.eventbrite.com.  VIP reception begins at 7p.m., open reception at 8p.m. and the after party at Lincoln at 11 p.m.

Look for my upcoming articles about the event and Luke’s Wings in General.
