Please join the ever expanding Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation for the the 1st Annual Scope It Out 5K Run/Walk New York City on Roosevelt Island (yes Washingtonians, thereIS a Roosevelt Island in NYC) for this run/walk to bring awareness to colon cancer.

Did you know?

  • Colon Cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths for men and women combined
  • Colonoscopies not only discover cancer, but can also stop cancer
  • 50% of Americans still do not get colonoscopy reimbursement
  • Colon cancer research is still vastly under-funded


Strollers, baby-joggers, and pets are allowed on the 5K course. The use of headphones is strongly discouraged. No refunds. To confirm your entry, please check the list of registered runners a week or so before race day. Please pick up your T-shirt on race day, as they cannot mail it to you.

The race will take place on Roosevelt Island. How to get to the race. Take the F train or The Tram to Roosevelt Island (check MTA website for service interruptions). You can drive in from Queens but parking is extremely limited. For The Tram schedule click here. More info will be posted if you are coming in from other places.

Packet Pick-up and Late Registration:

Race day packet pick-up is from 7:00 to 9:00 AM at the race site. Race day registration will be available from 7:00 to 8:45 AM. Please check back as we may have a packet pick up the day or two before the race.
