2012 Moet Hennessy Winemaker Tour
Wednesday, restaurateurs, DC nightlife moguls and notable mixologists and sommeliers attended the 2012 Moet Hennessy Winemaker Tour at The Occidental. Moet Hennessy brand winemakers gave Washington a taste of their flavors from around the world, including New Zealand’s Cloudy Bay Te Koko, France’s Chateau de Sancerre’s Cuvee du Connetable, Napa Valley’s Chandon Etoile Brut and Spain’s Numanthia Termanthia among others. Guests sipped complimentary spirits and mingled with Washington notables such as ABC 7′s Cynne Simpson and Jummy Olabanji, Park’s Mark Barnes, 94.7′s Tommy McFly, Marvin’s Sheldon Scott, Cities’ Seyhan Duru, Mie N Yu’s Mike Cherner, The Occidental Sommelier Michael Williams and GM Dusan Bogomirovic, W Hotel’s Wil Lee and Againn Gastro Pub’s Jaime Lang among others. Moet Hennessy pulled restaurateurs and hospitality gurus from Washington to Delaware and Maryland to Virginia, wowing guests with a variety of wines, cheeses, hors d’oeuvres and interactive private wine seminars.
