Even Keel Free Outdoor Yoga Series
Sunday, August 24th from 10:30-11:30AM in Rock Creek Park join fellow down doggers and instructor Sarah Smith from Studio Serenity, for the third session in the Even Keel Free Outdoor Yoga Series. There will even be a drawing for a free pair of Even Keel yoga pants!
Walk or Metro to Rock Creek Park. Woodley-Park Metro. From Calvert Street NW, walk into the park on 24th Street (Open City is at the top of the hill). The group be on the grassy field down the hill on the right near the exercise stations.
Bring your mat or a towel along with a water bottle. This is shine only, so if rains and you still want to practice yoga, hit the studio.

Join us as we kick-off the Even Keel Outdoor Yoga Series this Sunday, June 22nd from 10:30-11:30AM in Rock Creek Park. The series will take place on the 4th Sunday of every month through September (June 22, July 27, August 24, and Sept 28). Same time, same place.

For folks who choose not to brave the rain on a Friday evening during rush hour to go to Morven Park for America’s Cup Fashionably Fun Cocktail Party at 8pm, there is the Platinum Anniversary of the Best Friends Foundation. Tonight, supporters of Best Friends along with Founders Elayne Bennett and Alma Powell will get doodied up like it was only 1950-something and listen to the live croons of Marilyn McCoo and Billy Davis, Jr., as well as The Drifters and Chuck Brown. I apologize. I mis-wrote. Did write "listen"? What I meant was "dance" – and dance they will. Each year, no one is left sitting bored and lonely at the table staring at a leftover dessert. No, everyone is out on the jam packed dance floor knocking each other over with their mashed potatoes, twists, swimming moves and Elvis gyrations (unless you throw out your back and then sitting out is ok).
