Pamela Lynne Sorensen is the founder of Pamela’s Punch, a website inspired by her involvement with many civic, business, and community events and organizations. Pamela’s Punch began in November of 2006, and is now acclaimed as the place for getting the “who, what, when, where” of Washington, DC’s social and philanthropic scene.  In addition, Pamela co-hosts the weekly web-based talk show, “The District Dish”, and does freelance media, speaking, and event hosting engagements.

After moving with her family to the metro area in 1990, Pamela attended the Pennsylvania State University in State College, PA where she was a Tri-Delta and earned a B.A. in Speech Communications.  She continued to reside in the northern Virginia area post-graduation and thus began her career in sales and business development for a number of industries, including defense contracting, professional services, telecommunications, and executive networking.  Pamela played in an integral part in the revenue stream growth and success of Net2000 Communications, ExecutiveBiz - where she became Partner - and the Potomac Officers Club.

As an active member in the non-profit community, Pamela has been involved in fundraising and media outreach for the following charities:

Northern Virginia Technology Council Foundation, My Sisters’ Place, CharityWorks, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, National Foundation for Teaching Entrepreneurship, Fashion Fights Poverty, Washington Humane Society, The Washington Ballet, Once Upon a Prom, Blondes vs. Brunettes, Courage Cup, EarthEcho International, Hoop Dreams Scholarship Fund, YouthAIDS/PSI, Five and Alive, American Red Cross National Chapter, Greater Washington Sports Alliance, Innocents at Risk, Charity Network Inc., Kids Enjoy Exercising Now, and Lazarus Foundation.

Pamela has made numerous guest interview appearances on FOX News Sunday (nationally), NewsChannel 8/WJLA, “Live This Morning” and “Let’s Talk Live!”, Comcast Newsmakers, DC’s Office of Cable Television TV-16, DC Compass, and continues to be heard on radio’s MiX 107.3FM with Tommy McFly. Most recently, she was chosen out of thousands of applicants to be on a television episode of Discovery Channel’s Planet Green’s “Emeril Green” with celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse. The episode will air in Spring of 2009 and offer helpful cooking and eating tips for Pamela as she manages her busy life about town.

Pamela resides in north Arlington and enjoys fine wine, writing, reading (not arithmetic), yoga and travel.
