And So It Begins

Anyone who is anyone who knows anyone, knows that Washington is gearing up steadily for the annual White House Correspondents’ extravaganza.  Last year it was like Inauguration 2.0 – every A, B, D, C, and wanna-be would have fired his/her publicist if he/she was not at the very least within the confines of the Beltway and seen at one to five pre-or post-dinner social gatherings.  Only the A’ist of the A List are at the Dinner itself and this year, it appears that there are fewer chairs open.  Kind of like that kids game where you walk around the set of chairs and when the music stops, you’d better be the quickest and the best to grab the open seat.

So if the Annual Dinner draws the A-list and most influential in Hollywood, why not provide them a place to mix, mingle, dine and drink on their off time?  Lani Hay, an award winning entrepreneur and business woman, and President & CEO of Lanmark Technology is just wise enough to do just that.  She’s hosting a private dinner at Hudson Restaurant & Lounge for The Creative Coalition, the nonpartisan activist organization who is seen on the Hill more often then some Congressmen.

The dinner on Thursday, April 29th, which kicks off the weekend festivities will take place after the Creative Coalition’s performance event at the Library of Congress earlier that evening entitled, Art & Soul: A Celebration of the American Spirit Gala.

Wanna know who will be socializing in the rose and pink glass enclosed corner hot spot?

Actors and Co-Presidents of The Creative Coalition Tim Daly and Dana Delany; actor Adrian Grenier (“Entourage,” The Devil Wears Prada); actor CCH Pounder (Avatar); director Barry Levinson (Poliwood, Wag The Dog); actor Cheryl Hines (“Curb Your Enthusiasm”); legendary news anchor Morley Safer (“60 Minutes”); actor Omar Epps (“House”); actor Marlon Wayans (White Chicks, Scary Movie); actor Steven Weber (“Brothers & Sisters”); actor Wendie Malick (Confessions of a Shopaholic; “Just Shoot Me”); actor Richard Schiff (A Solitary Man, “The West Wing); actor Patricia Arquette (“Medium”); director Spike Lee ( Inside Man, Do The Right Thing), among other performers TBA.  The event is written and produced by multi Emmy® Award-winning producer Tom Fontana (“Oz,” “Homicide:  Life on Street,” “St. Elsewhere”).

You go girl.
