There are only a few registration spots left for Wednesday evening’s annual Ball on the Mall Kick Off, which will be held at the new Cities Restaurant and Lounge on 19th Street, NW. This night marks the launch of the fundraising efforts the L’Enfant Society Board and Host Committee will make during the months leading up to the May 7th gala, which takes place in one of the coolest venues in the nation’s capital: on the National Mall.
While the theme last year was Mexican in coordination with the Embassy of Mexico and Ambassador Arturo Sarukhan, this year the Society turns east, far east, all the way to Japan. Expect Asian decor, cuisine, cocktails and more at the Ball, but if you want to learn more, may we suggest you attend the Kick Off on Wednesday night.
To join the L’Enfant Society, which raises funds for the Trust for the National Mall, please go to www.lenfantsociety.org. Tickets to the Kick Off are $25 and includes an open bar and food.
Become a member of the Society for complimentary admission, a goodie bag, entry for door prize drawings and numerous benefits throughout the year.
