Bare Your Blue with Us Thursday at 901 Restaurant & Bar
The Team Pamela’s Punch Scope It Out 5k Run / Walk Kick Off event is slated for this Thursday, March 8th from 6pm-8pm at 901 Restaurant and Bar (901 9th Street, NW). This happy hour fundraiser is also co-hosted by the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation’s Young Professional Board. We’ll have auction and raffle items like a wine tour in Virginia’s wine country while you are transported by Reston Limousine, rounds of golf thanks to the Boar’s Head in Charlottesville, a complimentary make up session (I want) by celebrity makeup artist Carl Ray, who calls the prestigious George at the Four Seasons home, and several others.
Suggested door donation is only $5, a mere pittance in the realm of this disease, which yes, can be prevented with a healthy lifestyle, knowing your family’s medical history and colonoscopys. Today, at the beginning of Colon Cancer Awareness month, one of our own Congressmen just lost his battle to cancer. NJ Congressman Donald Payne, 77, died. Read about it HERE.
Let’s learn, prevent, and save lives together this month. Bare your blue and see you Thursday.
