Not only has the Park Hyatt Washington’s Blue Duck Tavern Executive Chef Brian McBride brought in new Chef de Cuisine, Michael Santoro, but together, they have made some fantastic modifications to their already superb menu.

lounge First, the sexy, chic Lounge area is now serving early and late into the night.  Perhaps they figured out how theater goers are often ISO the perfect night cap complemented with a bite.  For those of you who can’t live without your farm fresh domestic cheeses and exotic meats, you don’t have to look further than the Lounge.  Wines, C&M and perhaps even a sandwich or the Lounge’s wagyu beef hamburger on a brioche roll with steak fries will complete your night out.

The Lounge serves from 5pm until 1am.

dining room Wait, there’s more!  Lovers of the Lounge can experience Wednesday evening’s “Pork & Pinot” nights.  Basically, you can have your pig and eat it too!  A whole roasted farm-raised suckling pig is displayed on the Lounge’s expansive marble table so guests can enjoy a generous slice of pork accompanied with sweet potato biscuits.  Additional new pork dishes offered on the Lounge menu exclusively for Pork & Pinot, include Pork Liver Pate’, Warm Pork Pate’ en Croute, Housemade Terrine of Ham Hock and Bacon Popcorn.

The Lounge is also introducing the coveted Jamon Iberico de bellota which is a rare Spanish ham, newly arrived to the States. Priced at $20 per ounce slice, who can say no?  Pork can be leave your lips a smackin’, so you need a great glass of vino to complement.  Lucky for you, a selection of Pinot Noir wines by the glass and by the bottle will be available, with prices ranging from $10 to $28 per glass and $95 to $180 per bottle.

Pork & Pinot nights are from 5:30pm-9:30pm in the Lounge on Wednesday evenings.
