Blue Hope Classic Keeps the Hope Alive

Chris4Life's 2nd Annual Blue Hope Classic at Raspberry Falls

This Tuesday was the 2nd Annual Blue Hope Golf Classic held at one of the prettiest, most rustic, naturally beautiful courses, Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club which in case you didn’t know, is way out there in Leesburg.  However, it is truly worth the hike.  I saw a buffalo. And plenty of old barns overgrown with trees and vines that were picture perfect, painting-worthy peppered throughout the course.

The charity tournament was held again to raise money for Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation, our Partner whose mission it is to prevent colon cancer and help patients, as well as fund research and finding cure.  With 15 foursomes and a silent and live auction (emceed by comedian Matt Kazam during the dinner and awards ceremony) over $20,000 was raised that day. Also a little fun side activity that was going on was the “pink ball”. Every team was offered the chance to purchase a “pink ball” before the start of the tournament. They had to have one person use the pink ball on every hole. At the end of the tournament the teams who did not lose their pink ball were entered in a drawing to win gift cards to the pro-shop at Raspberry Falls.

Next up is the 2nd Annual Blue Hope Bash on Thursday, October 25th, which will be held at the Park Hyatt Washington DC, whose ballroom space has been recently renovated to coordinate with the rest of the modern Tony Chi designed property.  Tickets, tables, sponsorships, and in kind donations are still being accepted.
