Capital Area Food Bank’s Blue Jeans Ball Gets Comfy to Raise Money
By Punch Passport Correspondent Lori González Lazzarini
This past weekend the Capital Area Food Bank’s 9th Annual Blue Jeans Ball was held at the Marriott Wardman Park hotel. All the attendees were able to pull out their favorite pair of jeans and join the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) to sample D.C.’s finest cuisine, dance to live entertainment, and participate in a silent and live auction.
The CAFB Blue Jeans Ball is one of the area’s top charitable events, the dress code is all about comfort and the mission is all about eating while contributing to a good cause.
More than 700 people were in attendance on Sunday night, with a total raised of over $450,000.
A few of the many restaurants that participated were: Bayou, Chef Geoff’s, Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar, Jaleo, Matchbox Food Group, Ping Pong, PS 7′s, Sequoia, and many others.
It definitely was a whimsically delicious night, can’t wait for the next one, next year! Please go to Capital Area Food Bank to learn more.
