Thank you to Aba Kwawu of The Aba Agency for sending this to the Punch.  Cirque du Soleil’s next DC appearance will be in October, but don’t wait to get your seats.  You can actually join the Cirque Club and purchase tickets before anyone else.

Cirque du Soleil will return to the Washington DC area at a new location with its latest touring production KOOZA, set to open on Thursday, October 30, 2008. KOOZA will perform at The Plateau at National Harbor under the trademark blue-and-yellow Grand Chapiteau (big top) for a limited engagement. Tickets will be available to Cirque Club members for an exclusive period beginning Wednesday, May 7 at 11:00am.

Cirque Club members will have first access to purchase KOOZA tickets online at www.cirquedusoleil.com. Membership is free and registration is quick and simple. Cirque Club members receive advance access to the best seats under the Grand Chapiteau, ticket upgrades, partner promotions and insider information on the world of Cirque du Soleil.

KOOZA is a return to the origins of Cirque du Soleil that combines two circus traditions - acrobatic performance and the art of clowning. The show highlights the physical demands of human performance in all its splendor and fragility, presented in a colorful mélange that emphasizes bold slapstick humor.
