DC welcomes Thompson Hotel’s Donovan House
3 Comments »
The last official event of the evening atop a roof that we attended was the opening of Thompson Hotel’s luxurious Donovan House. Located right in Thomas Circle, this sexy, chic, contemporary boutique is the hotel company’s entree into DC. The rooftop offers guests a bar, a pool and vast views of the city. Capitol File Magazine sponsored the soiree that started at 8 and ended at 11pm, but seemed to still be going strong with the Bacardi mojitos upon our departure.
Check out the hotel online http://www.thompsonhotels.com/ or in person at 1155 14th Street, NW.

love your website!!! Love, love. Do you know if the “rooftop bar” is open to the general public? I heard the rooftop pool and bar are only opened to hotel guests (for now).

You know, I think you are right, I believe they are very strict b/c it is not a large space. That’s how they entice you to get a room!

figures..guess I will have to travel the 5 miles from Falls Church and get a room, so I can have a drink and a dip in the pool.
