Ladies, take out that treasured credit card from its frozen hiding place, move last season’s garb to the appropriate secondary closet, slip on that stellar stylish number, grab your gal pals and start your engines.  The 10th District Sample Sale is March 29th (5:30pm-9:30pm) at 2101 L Street, NW, and tickets are on sale now. Known as DC’s “most fashionable charity event”, this season’s DSS will benefit the E.L. Haynes Public Charter School.

The fashionable fete has grown in turnout and involved boutiques over the years.  The civilized mob of over 700 women dressed to the nines are all there to get the best deals from local designer boutiques like DC’s Urban Chic, Ginger, Julia Farr, The Shoe Hive, Wink, Caramel, Sherman Pickey and Hysteria, and Baltimore’s Babe, Cupcake and Poppy & Stella.  The shops liquidate their end-of-season wares up to 90% off, plus many sell current season designer dresses, accessories and footwear at DSS-exclusive pricing.  But no shopping event is complete without a little liquid nudge, so expect cocktails to be flowing and hors d’oeuvres from participating local restaurants.  There will also be a luxury, fashion-focused silent auction and raffle, a goodie bag (included with VIP tickets), and more.

General Admission tickets are $40, VIP tickets are $100, Benefactress sponsor tickets are $250, and Corporate Benefactress tickets are $600. VIP and Benefactress guests, limited to 200 shoppers, will receive the coveted DSS paperless goodie bag and will have private access from 5:30pm to 6:30pm for an hour of bonus shopping with first access to the best designer bargains.
