Family Ties

Once again before the long sultry month of August (and I do mean long. and sultry.) leaves us, we are taking one last break before September hits like a pie in the face.  Hopefully it will be the whipped cream type of pie-light, fluffy, not painful, easy to wipe off with a towel, no staining…

I’ll be out in the countryside visiting with family, the farm and lots of animals and pets (I think I’m in need of some unconditional love).  In the meantime, please enjoy these photos from Governor McDonnell’s “Virginia Speaks” town hall forum which was held Wednesday night at the CIT Building (the upside down building) in Herndon with the NVTC. The Governor addressed privatizing distilled spirits in the Commonwealth as a bill he’d like to pass, with the funds from the licenses of future distributors going to: TRANSPORTATION. He also took a number of voter questions.

Some notables in the standing room only audience were Bobbie Kilberg, Fred Malek, Sudhakar Shenoy, Dendy Young, Brad Antle, Dr. Alan Merten, Pat Herrity, and Greg Baroni.
