Fashion Fights Poverty’s Look Book Launch
No Comments »
Wednesday night FFP will host its launch party for its cool “Dress Responsibly Look Book” at Lotus Lounge (1420 K Street, NW). The book features images of global ethical fashion. This event is to raise funds and awareness for the charity Aid to Artisans (proceeds of the book sales will go to the cause) and is brought to us by the Style & Image Network, The United Nations Association of the National Capital Area and Westin Rinehart.
We hope you can join us for this great event tonight. Please RSVP on the web site: http://www.fashionfightspoverty.org/ and bring your funds to buy plenty of books. Hey, the holidays are right around the corner!!!!
This week’s high lighted events:
Thursday night brings us the Washingtonian’s “150 Most Powerful” party at the Madison Hotel, but if you aren’t on the list or didn’t get the invite - you may be at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation event’s the 26th - 29th. Be on the look out for some of the most famous, influential and powerful black leaders, artists, executives and politicians in town during these days and evenings.
Saturday evening, CharityWorks celebrates its annual Dream Ball at the gorgeous National Building Museum. As always, they will announce the winner of next year’s CharityWorks Partner. The event brings out some of the area’s most well respected business leaders in the government contracting and professional services industries. It is a gorgeous event and surely, they will raise once again, over $1 million for their 2007 Partner and Runners Up.
