Find your inner strength, outside

It’s that time of the month again!  Yes, it’s time to forget about all that ails you, troubles you, and wears you down.  But forget about taking a run in the park. Just breathe and go through the vinyasa at your own pace in the park with the Even Keel Outdoor Yoga Series (there’s no cost either!).

Thank you again to my great friend Liz Matthews, the co-Founder of Even Keel eco-friendly yoga apparel, for sending this to the Punch.  She is also the producer of this outdoor series:

Join us this Sunday, July 27th from 10:30-11:30AM in Rock Creek Park.  Vanessa King will be the teacher representing Flow Yoga Center.  We are in for a treat because Vanessa is an amazing teacher, and she’s into Flying Yoga/AcroYoga (don’t worry, no circus moves required in this class).  You can learn more about Vanessa on her website, http://makeyoganotwar.com.

Walk or Metro to Rock Creek Park.  Woodley-Park Metro.  From Calvert Street NW, walk into the park on 24th Street (Open City is at the top of the hill).  We’ll be on the grassy field down the hill on the right near the exercise stations.

Bring your mat or a towel.  This is not rain or shine – just shine!  Please visit http://www.evenkeelyoga.com for additional details.

This series takes place on the 4th Sunday of every month through September (July 27, August 24, and Sept 28). Same time, same place.  Participating studios include Flow Yoga Center, Studio Serenity, and Quiet Mind Yoga.  *There will be a drawing at each session for a free pair of Even Keel yoga pants.

*I personally own a pair of these organic material, eco-friendly bottoms … they are so comfortable I could live in them - don’t love your own bottom?  Don’t worry, they are flattering to all shapes and sizes!
