Friendly Reminder: Alexandria’s Food and Wine Festival
The first ever Alexandria’s Food and Wine Festival is fast approaching (Saturday, the 23rd!) and like we do how we do, we always look at the weather before making commitments on the weekend days. I took the liberty of checking the 7 day forecast for us and it appears to be SUNNY (no little cloudy-things) and 90 degrees. So, gather your dog, family, kids, friends, whomever, and be sure to venture into the darling historic area of Old Town Alexandria/John Carlyle Square for the festival.

the festival will feature Virginia wines like Lake Anna Winery, Glass House Winery, Prince Michel and more
This event focuses on showcasing the numerous diverse restaurants of Alexandria as well as Virginia’s wineries combined with the opportunity to give back to the community through local non-profit organizations. This is an exciting event, well anticipated by the local community that will transform John Carlyle Square into a lively festival completed with live entertainments, children’s activities, and cooking demonstrations.
It is easily accessible by car, Metrorail or Dash Bus. It is conveniently located just three blocks from the King Street Metro Station and four blocks from the Eisenhower Avenue Metro Station on Metrorail’s Yellow and Blue Lines.
The festival gives back to the community: active duty military families will benefit from one (1) free book per family and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Carpenter’s Shelter of Alexandria.
noon-5pm, rain or SHINE!
