Hello Kitty for President: The Purrrfect Campaign

As the Nation’s Capital and the rest of the mid-Atlantic diligently preps for a perfect storm, Hello Kitty herself is busy setting up her campaign HQs at the LivingSocial 918 F St space, which is open to the public November 1st-6th.

Finally, a candidate we can believe in!  Because she wants everyone to join the Friendship Party, campaign HQs are open from 10am to 8pm during the pop-up window. There will be fun for everyone including: Americana Art Gallery (historic American art revised with Hello Kitty as President); Sephora make-overs, Hello Kitty silhouette paper cut-outs; a Hello Kitty photo booth; amazing balloon art; a fun claw machine; Lolitas and of course, Hello Kitty, who is very happy to throw her bow into the ring for President of the United States.

Hello Kitty is not only smart and adorable, she is charitable.  She is joining up with Georgetown Cupcake to support 826dc.  Special Hello Kitty for President cupcakes will be on sale from November 1-6 at all local Georgetown Cupcake locations. 100% of the sales will go to 826dc – supporting 826dc’s mission of educating local students ages 6-18 in creative and expository writing skills. Hello Kitty for President Campaign Headquarters will also feature the work of 826dc’s students, so be sure to swing by and check out some amazing stuff.

Be sure to keep an eye out around town for Hello Kitty’s campaign bus. Campaign volunteers are passing out bumper stickers, yard signs and other campaign collateral to drive awareness and traffic to the pop-up shop. The official site for the campaign is http://hellokittyforpresident.tumblr.com/.
