Former U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton was honored on Thursday, November 14th at a Gala hosted by the National Defense University (NDU) Foundation at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center.
The American Patriot Award (APA) annually recognizes leaders of extraordinary caliber who have strengthened America’s strategic interests and advanced global security. Past APA honorees include: President George H.W. Bush, Dr. Robert Gates, The Honorable Henry Kissinger, Senators John McCain and Joe Lieberman, and General Colin Powell.
After receiving the APA, Hillary Rodham Clinton gave an incredible acceptance speech in which she spoke about the importance of women’s role in global peace and security and how NDU has helped deliver the message by writing a book about the subject.
