Where are you spending the holidays?

The big two city tour of Winchester, VA and Charlottesville, VA. Luckily my boyfriend is also from my hometown of Winchester (yes, we went to the same high school-cute, I know) so we split time between Winchester and Charlottesville where some of our other family resides.

What are your plans? How are they same or different than other years?

Last year was the first time I spent Christmas morning NOT in Winchester, VA. It was so difficult and I was sad at first (either that or it could have been the several glasses of wine that made me a little on the nostalgic/emotional side) but it ended up being amazing so this year will we will do much of the same.

What do you want from Santa?

I want AC/DC tickets and a new Furla bag. I couldn’t wait for Santa so I bought them myself. Heehee.

What are you doing to take care of YOURSELF?

Michael Sapienza and Pamela Sorensen at Orange Anchor in Georgetown
with Michael Sapienza at Orange Anchor in the Washington Harbour

Still barring it up…. (I mean workout…..and local pubs I guess after my work out so that “barre” can be taken either way). I’ve started Xtendbarre on a regular basis in Old Town. The mix of cardio and barre techniques keeps me going.  I started one month early so I can get an early start before the holiday resolutions settle in.

Where are you spending the holidays?

Clifton, VA, Washington, D.C. and Corolla, NC

What are your plans? How are they same or different than other years?

This will be our first year having the entire family over to our new place in Kalorama. I now understand why my grandma said she was done entertaining at some point. Not just the money but the time!

Who do they include?

Who does it not include is a better question!

What do you want from Santa?

Lots of energy, inspiration and good fortune for 2016.

Anything special you are planning for someone? Shh, we won’t tell!

Well yes in fact, I’m planning on buying my special someone socks, and underwear. 🙂

What are you doing to take care of YOURSELF?

Starting January 4th: one month of no meat will be my new year’s resolution. During the break my hope is to finish at least 3 books.

Where are you spending the holidays?

I’ll be spending my holidays at Dogtopia.

What are your plans? How are they same or different than other years?

Our family will cook breakfast for the employees that work on Christmas day.  It’s a tradition that we have done since we opened 8 years ago. After breakfast, we roll up our sleeves and help with the dirty work of taking care of dogs, picking up dog poop.  This year with the completion of our expanded space we’ll have a record number of dogs staying with us, which mean a record amount of dog poop. If the average dog poop is 1/4 lb, there is a pretty large variance think Great Dane vs Chihuahua, we’ll be picking up somewhere north of 200 lbs over the holidays.
