I was brushed with greatness
Saturday I did get my puppy love. When I walked into Saks Fifth Avenue at The Collection in Chevy Chase, I was greeted by owners with the doggies galore. Some donned adorable outfits, some wore mini sunglass goggles, some had fashionable collars with matching leashes, some matched their owner’s outfits, but all were sweet, well-behaved, and probably very confused. Since I am such a dog lover, I immediately had to squat down and pet as many as I could and you know – do the “baby talk”. Outside the entrance in the parking lot, the Washington Humane Society had their van where you could learn about adopting some of the dogs right then and there. If only my building allowed pets. Sigh.

The sight inside on the main floor (Cosmetics) and second floor was scene of sophisticated mayhem, if that is possible. I stayed, got a glass of bubbly, traipsed around, got a makeover upstairs at La Prairie, and saw lots of ladies who were lunching with Capitol File Magazine. Thanks again to Saks Fifth Avenue (another genius event produced by Andrew Blecher) for supporting and raising money for one of my favorite causes: The Washington Humane Society.
