Interactive Eating

These days, it’s all about the internet and the food. Hence, that is why Food2 by Scripps Networks (think lifestyle media and the Food Network-yes, the very channel that makes me park my rear on the couch for hours) is the hot new concept for cooking and yes… it is a perfect example of social media.  Through the interactive site, you can join through Facebook, follow on Twitter, add recipes, learn recipes, see videos, and make comments.

Two cool chefs, Kelsey Nixon and our very own Spike Mendelsohn of Capitol Hill’s Good Stuff Eatery are co-hosts of the Food2 show Kelsey & Spike Cook.  Check it on on the site.

Food2 prides itself in being food-forward and opens its virtual doors for “haute cuisine to hot dogs, knockout cocktails to succelent sides.”  I think I even saw the term “food porn” on the site.  Tasty.
