This past weekend, I visited DC’s newest nightlife space, the luxurious 4,600 square foot nightclub called The Huxley.
The invite only guest list arrived at Dupont Circle looking like they came out of a People magazine spread of the glitterrazzi in accordance with the “traditional black tie†attire that was required for the VIP opening event.
Owners of The Huxley, nightlife and hospitality veterans Ryan Seelbach and Eric Lund, looked extremely pleased and proud at the premiere of the newest destination for the city’s most elite and sophisticated crowd.
The owners promise The Huxley will set a new standard for nightlife in DC with costumed performers, live musicians, celebrity DJs, and surprise entertainment.
The venue has two areas: “The Ballroom†which fit 200 people and has 11 “bottle-service†tables with great sightlines to the raised DJ booth which is located in the middle of the room. The other area is “The Study†which fit 80 people and has six tables with its own DJ booth and independent sound system, and is ideal for smaller groups who want to enjoy specialty cocktails and listen to great music. Both of the rooms are stunning, chic, and cool with a great setting to accommodate the guest’s interests for the night, whatever it may be, have some drinks and chill at “The Study†or party like a rockstar and dance at “The Ballroom.â€
The Huxley which is located at 1730 M Street NW, Washington, is open from 10pm-3am Friday and Saturday only and is available for private events Sunday through Thursday.
