Kiehl’s Since 1851 LifeRide for amfAR is Coming to Washington, DC
Washingtonians, prepare yourself for the arrival and the close of the third annual Kiehl’s Since 1851 LifeRide for amfAR. The national riders, who take on a trip of 9 consecutive days, include Kiehl’s USA President Chris Salgardo and amfAR CEO Kevin Robert Frost, who will be joined by motorcycle enthusiasts, including actors/models Tyson Beckford, Tricia Helfer, Katee Sackhoff, Teddy Sears, Christopher Redman, Marguerite Moreau, Timothy White, Paul Cox, Grant Reynolds, Conrad Leach, and our own D.C. (tatted) based chefs R.J. Cooper (Rogue 24), David Guas (Bayou Bakery), Mike Isabella (Graffiato and Bandolero), and Robert Weidmaier (Marcel’s, Barsserie Beck, Mussel Bar, Brabo).
Wait for it, wait for it … the special guests at the Washington event are SHARON STONE (gasp!) and JOHN CORBETT (he played Aidan on “Sex and the City” – double gasp!)! Ms. Stone is the Global Fundraising Chairman for amfAR. The reason the ride ends in DC that Friday evening is because it is the night of the International AIDS Conference. The riders will make local stops at the Kiehl’s in Georgetown (3301 M Street, NW) on Friday, July 20th at 6:30pm-8:30pm then at the Kiehl’s store in Tysons Corner Center 11am-1pm then next day. The events are free and open to the public. Please RSVP to kiehlsbrandlinkdcrsvp.com.
Kiehl’s will make donations at each of the eight stops along the way—totaling $115,000 for amfAR.
Also, in celebration of the ride, Kiehl’swill introduce a Limited Edition Active Lifestyle Essentials Kit, an assortment of Kiehl’s signature products for active customers. Kiehl’s will donate $25,000 from sales of the Active Lifestyle Essentials Kit to benefit amfAR. The Limited Edition Active Lifestyle Essentials Kit will be available at Kiehl’s stores nationwide, and at Kiehls.com.
