Langley Ordinary: An Historic Special Home

The Langley Ordinary (1101 Chain Bridge Road in McLean) is nothing less than EXTRAordinary. It’s divine, historic, plentiful, lush, welcoming, homey, storybook-like and straight out of a feel-good holiday film for the whole family.  Every corner has another surprise delight that has its own tale which award-winning home builder and designer, Doug Deluca of Federal Home Company (home builders), Reclaimed America (reclaiming and salvaging historic architectural elements throughout the US), and Federal Stone & Brick (outdoor living design) is more than happy to share with you.  His business partner Matt Bronczek and he just finished this project and opened it up to friends for a tour of the final product, which is turns out to be one of the most gracious living spaces I’ve ever seen.

With approximately 6,000 sf this former Civil War hospital sits on over an acre, boasts a 3 car garage, and original floorboards, antique reclaimed wood ceiling and beams and an antique barn wood library, stained glass features, a wide wrap around porch, indoor and outdoor wood burning fireplaces, a very high end kitchen, Viking appliances indoor and outdoor, and high tech gadgets (run by an iPad) as well as too many to count flat screens and so much more on this multi-level house. Best of all, its location cannot be beat, as its off the path of the busy 123 and Georgetown Pike, but easy access for jumping back on them and the GW Parkway, right near our friends at the CIA.

I suppose the best way to share with you the Langley Ordinary is visually. If you’d like to learn more, you can contact my friend Matt at 703.247.3388.
