Lost Society: The Place to be this Summer
By Punch Passport Correspondent Lori González Lazzarini
My birthday is coming up in two weeks. Puerto Ricans have a habit of celebrating their birthdays for an entire week instead of for just one day. So let me explain, this year my birthday is on a Thursday and I’m planning to celebrate from Wednesday through Sunday (yes, I’m sending my friends an agenda).  I pretty much had figured out where I want to celebrate every day except the Thursday of my actual birthday.
Well I finally found the place and it’s a boutique steakhouse called Lost Society. Lost Society is located at 2001 14th Street NW in D.C. (at the corner of 14th St. and U St., next to Marvin’s).   This place is so amazing and it meets all the requirements for the perfect local to celebrate my b-day!
Lost Society is a two floor venue with a Victorian underground scene vibe.  It also has a super cool roof deck in which I can predict that I will be enjoying some al fresco dining many times this summer. Joseph Evans, the Executive Chef, used to work at Smith and Wollensky Steakhouse in the District for the past three years.
Everything I ate during the Media Night last Thursday was extremely delicious.  We were fed a lot of steak, lobster, and the best mac & cheese I have ever had in my life! And I consider myself a mac & cheese connoisseur.
Lost Society will open on Friday, July 1st, so make sure to add on your 4th of July weekend to do list- VISIT Lost Society! And while you are there eat some steak and mac & cheese, drink some wine, try their mouth-watering desserts, and of course have some fun!
