MPAA’s an “Evening with… Adrian Grenier and Peter Glatzer”

On Tuesday night I was lucky enough to attend an “Evening with…,” event; these events are a series presented by the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) which bring leaders from the entertainment community to Washington, DC to discuss their careers, their passions, and their experience in the industry.  For this special night we joined IMPACT ARTS + FILM FUND, Senator Chris Dodd, Chairman & CEO of the MPAA in an interview with SHFT Co-Founders Actor Adrian Grenier and Film Producer Peter Glatzer.

After spending a lovely time at the reception in which Adrian Grenier walked around greeting fans and taking pictures, the program of the evening began.

We all sat down to observe and participate of a discussion on SHFT which is a multi-media platform founded by Adrian Grenier and Peter Glatzer.  Their mission is to convey a more sustainable approach to the way we live through film, design, art and culture or as they describe themselves on their website “Curating the Culture of Today’s Environment.”

Additionally, we saw a presentation of a few short videos that go along with the SHFT initiative in which Adrian and Peter collaborate as Executive Producers.

Overall, it was a remarkable event in which I was able to learn a few things about the environment and see how people are trying to make a difference, one tread of Bionic Yarn at a time (watch the Bionic Men video) and it obviously didn’t hurt to see up, close, and personal the hunk that is Entourage’sAdrian Grenier.
