Last Saturday, it was less about ladies who lunch and more about ladies who love fashion and high tea, as was evident with the excellent turnout at the Four Seasons. Held in Seasons Restaurant, the private two-hour afternoon function brought out Washington women dressed in their finest garb. And let’s just start with the high high high heels. ELLE magazine and Mulberry (which has an outpost in Tysons Galleria) came in from Manhattan to welcome guests, along with hosts Kathleen Biden, Juleanna Glover, Giovanna Gray, Heather Podesta, Susanna Quinn and Jennifer Tapper.

The holiday high tea offered a colorful fashion presentation with three models floating effortlessly (seriously, the heels on these girls) through the crowd donning Mulberry of course, but what got everyone ooo’ing, aww’ing and buying were the the handbags on display. For sale, these stately sophisticated and classic bags, clutches, wallets, briefcases, also served as a way to give back. Percentages of products sold went to Kathleen Biden’s cause, DC Volunteer Lawyers Project.

As the polished and chic guests mixed and mingled talking of holiday plans and winter vacation destinations, they also enjoyed hot tea, mimosas and a delightful buffet of ornate high teas sandwiches, scones, and sweets.
