New Year’s Feature Part 4 & Final

New Year’s Feature Part 4 & Final

In our fourth and final New Year’s Feature installment, all five participants happen to be women (three of which are ColorComm Network members, an organization on whose board which I serve) and all five are fired up to kick ass in 2015-but in a mindful healthy way, of course. High five to these ladies who, no doubt, will take the year by storm and rule their destinies.

What are you most excited about for 2015?

I’m excited to build on ongoing professional and creative projects in 2015.

Is there a particular focus you, or your family, or your career, or your business will be centering on this coming year?

At work, supporting the ambitious U.S. trade agenda in the Asia Pacific and Europe to help build economic growth and jobs here at home.

What are you planning on AMPING UP from last year?

In my spare time, I play keyboard and vocals in a rock band with Pulitzer prize-winning DC journalists called Suspicious Package (www.facebook.com/SusPackage). We will be amping up the music for the new year with a kick-off concert for Art Soirée at the Ritz Carlton on January 23! I am also co-founder of an amateur theater troupe of DC professionals, Picnic Theatre Company (www.facebook.com/PicnicTheatre), which will perform for charity at the Phillips Collection in May.

What are you planning CHANGING from last year?

Definitely need to get more sleep- aiming at 7 hours per night!

What are you going to do that YOU’VE NEVER DONE?

This past year I traveled to over a dozen countries, including Peru, Chile, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Sri Lanka, and ended with the Maldives to ring in the new year. In 2015, I look forward to new destinations and adventures!

What are you most excited about in 2015?

I am excited about new opportunities and personal projects I am working on in 2015. After thirteen years of marketing clients and other brands I am embarking on a few cool ventures under my own brand/name. My most personal project to date is a series of seminars focused on empowering women in Washington, DC who are AWESOME and contribute to our great regional economy.

Is there a particular focus you, or your family, or your career, or your business will be centering on this coming year?

My focus in 2015 is me. Taking a year to do a few things that motivate, stimulate and spark my inner creative genius.

What are you planning CHANGING from last year?

I am limiting my exposure to negative people and making my inner circle smaller.

What are you planning on AMPING UP from last year?

I am being selfish in 2015 and taking chances on a few personal ventures. Looking forward to the experience. Definitely a big step forward!

What are you planning on RATCHETING BACK from last year?

Energy vampires and people who don’t want to see you succeed.

What are you going to do that YOU’VE NEVER DONE?

Raise money for a charity whose mission and values I believe in and publicly support that charity in my words and deeds.

What are you most excited about in 2015?

I am most excited about The 316 Group growing and entering new ventures on a global scale with partners and clients in public affairs.

Is there a particular focus you, or your family, or your career, or your business will be centering on this coming year?

The 316 Group is my singular focus after God and family.  At the 316 Group, we will continue to promote and support our client objectives as well as develop clients through reputation, word of mouth and results.

What are you going to do that YOU’VE NEVER DONE?

As an entrepreneur, work never stops for me, but I’d like to begin to take at least 20 minutes a day to meditate and step away from all of my mobile devices to unwind, if just for a few minutes.

What are you most excited about in 2015?

Undoubtedly I’m most excited about the launch of my new advertising consultancy, GreeneGroup. After 20 years at global ad agencies, I’m thrilled to apply what I’ve learned to brands and organizations that are affecting change.

Is there a particular focus you, or your family, or your career, or your business will be centering on this coming year?

As in years prior, the magic is in finding the Balance.  I’m at my best when I’m contributing meaningfully to all the things that power me, which include my family/framily, my business, my non-profit and myself. The hard part is playing fairly with each component.

What are you planning CHANGING from last year?

The big change has already happened, which is the launch of GreeneGroup. No need to take on anything new anytime soon. The goal is to simultaneously streamline and improve.  Across the board I will be finding and implementing efficiencies.

What are you planning on AMPING UP from last year?

Everything that takes gives more to me, the business and the family than it takes away. #efficiency

What are you most excited about in 2015?

….the unknown….

Is there a particular focus you, or your family, or your career, or your business will be centering on this coming year?

I am going to focus on wellness, both in rehabilitating a recent injury and being more conscious about the foods I put into my body.

What are you planning CHANGING from last year?

I am trying to take more time for myself – resting, listening to my body, and not pushing myself physically.

What are you planning on AMPING UP from last year?

I’m planning to travel more, read more, and take a few more chances (career-wise)!!

What are you planning on RATCHETING BACK from last year?

EATING SWEETS.

Ladies, you are rock stars. Love the energy and cannot wait to see you take on the universe.
