Nordstrom Designer Preview Fashion Show Re-Cap

You couldn’t possibly have put more fashion forward/conscious, stylish people in one place than last night in the National Building Museum. Congratulations to Event Chair Cindy Jones for attaining a total sell out complete with waiting list. The attendee list reached over 400, not including press (more than the show had ever seen prior), and brought in over $60,000 (close to $20,000 more than last year) for Knock Out Abuse Against Women.

As usual, the well choreographed show included hot trends from Nordstrom’s high-end designers with gorgeous uber-skinny models (15 of whom were from T.H.E. Artist Agency locally), racks of Badgley Mischka, Dolce & Gabbana, Donna Karan, Jil Sander, Lanvin, Michael Kors, Missoni, Ralph Lauren Purple Label, Valentino and Versace for the serious shopper to purchase then and there, curtained off dressing rooms in which to try on garments, loads of bags and shoes to complete the outfit, and more than enough Nordstrom employees to assist in the shopping process.
While a few us gathered at Proof pre-event for some fine wine - did you know they have outdoor seating now - the After Party was held at Hudson. We got to enjoy some more speciality cocktails, the new Chef’s talent in the passed apps department (delicious!) and the breezy patio. Thanks to Cindy again for generously offering the party and to Victoria Michael for coordinating.
Ladies - it is not too early to think about the Knock Out! Gala this fall. This will be their 15th Anniversary, held again at the Ritz in DC, date and details will be forthcoming on the Punch. And Ellen Blankenstein - you rock.
