Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival Celebrates 22 Years

Last weekend, hundreds came out to brave the iffy weather in order to stock up on all types of arts, crafts, jewelry and clothing and to meet the artisans in person during the 22nd Annual Northern Virginia Fine Arts Festival. The festival and its entertainment took over the Reston Town Center starting Friday night with the VIP Opening Night Party. Throughout the rest of the weekend, hundreds of white tents and displays lined the closed down streets which filled up with families, strollers, dogs, friends and couples.

Friday evening’s soiree was as success, making its goal with the Silent Auction items, entertaining the guests with Arachne Aerial Arts and In-Flight Theater performances and then later singer songwriter Ted Garber, satisfying bellies with plentiful buffets from Atrium Catering & Event Design and quenching thirsts with plenty of drinks from Honest Tea and Barefoot Wine & Bubbly. The media sponsors included ABC-7, News Channel 8 and DC magazine. We got to hear from Good Morning Washington News Anchor ABC/WJLA Scott Thuman and Damian Sinclair, who was dressed with the most dapperness in a white tux, Executive Director of the Greater Reston Arts Center. Proceeds from the evening go to the Center’s outreach programs.
