Once Upon A Prom Dress Drive today and tomorrow - Volunteers and Dresses needed!
Ladies, spend about 10 minutes today digging in the back of one of your many closets to pull out any old formalwear you know you won’t ever put back on. They may have lived in your wardrobe for a few years, but be kind and give them a new home where they will truly be appreciated.
Today (Friday) from 1pm-5pm and Saturday from 9am-5am, you can drop them off to the ladies and volunteers of Once Upon A Prom {501 (c) (3)} at the Maya Angelou Public Charter School which is located at 5600 E. Capitol Street, NE. These young high school girls will truly thank you as their prom is right around the corner. Don’t have a dress to deliver? Check donations are always welcome. The group does need volunteers out there collecting dresses, donations and setting up, so please contact katie@washingtonlife.com to help out - thank you for giving your time.
For more information on how to get involved with Once Upon A Prom please go to: http://www.onceuponaprom.org/getInvolved.html The little bangle bracelet makes a sweet gift and wearing several of them together is always an eye-catcher.
