During this past weekend, I went to one of the most amusing and edgy parties I have been to in a while, the O’Neill Studios 6th Annual Salon Party.

The party was held at Event House (1147, 1147 20th St. NW), which was decorated beautifully with over 60 pieces by featured artists, including our own Washingtonian pop‐artist, Maggie O’Neill and Washington Redskin’s tight end/painter and sculptor, #47 Chris Cooley.

The salon party had a wonderful crowd of guests, dressed to the nines, there were power couples everywhere.  The party for the pleasure of all the guests offered live painting by Maggie O’Neill and live sculpting by Chris Cooley, all these accompanied by a musical showcase by DJ Big Des.  Maggie’s live painting and Chris Cooley’s sculpture were presented at a live auction held at the event.

LINCOLN Restaurant catered the food for the evening, which was delish, and the Wooden Nickel Bar Company, owner of The Mighty Pint and Irish Whiskey Public House, sponsored and crafted the specialty cocktails, double delish.

The three floor event house was full of of amazing work from featured artists: Chris Cooley, Dominique Fierro, Maggie O’Neill, Rodger Schultz, Brittany Sims, Karen Suderman, and Tina Palmer.

Proceeds from the night will benefit Research Down Syndrome, a non-profit foundation that supports Down Syndrome Cognitive Research.

It was truly an amazing party and I can’t wait to see what unique artsy ideas they come up with at next year’s 7th Annual Salon Party!

From Pamela: On another note, we at the Punch offer our sincerest gratitude to Maggie for generously donating a painting of “L.A.” for the Dream Date Auction & Silent Auction fundraiser event at the SLS Hotel in Beverly Hills this Saturday, March 31st benefiting Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation. Here’s a shot of the painting. Let’s just say, I know a LOT of people will be bidding on this, including me.
