"Operation Rising Star" is the Military’s "American Idol"
1 Comment »… and it’s HERE in our own backyard! Hey, even our servicemen and women love open call talent shows, therefore, we have “Operation Rising Star”. While the local competition has been narrowed down, the Finals have just begun.
Check it out here live at Fort Belvoir’s Wallace Theater from Wednesday, November 12th through the 14th. During this Veterans’ Day holiday, it’s a wonderful way to support our troops!

Below are the taping times if you want to be there (and perhaps on TV?), but please make sure you bring a valid driver’s license to get onto the base and be prepared for your car to be searched as well.
Wednesday 8:30 - 10:30am
Thursday 12:30 - 2pm
Friday 12:30 - 1:30pm
This is a show for ALL AGES and don’t be surprised if you see some celeb sightings, like singers from Nashville Star and the Producer of (gasp!) America’s Got Talent!
If you can’t make it, no worries. The Pentagon Channel will simulcast every performance on www.Pentagonchannel.mil at 1p.m. EST.
