Residence Inn Arlington Capital View Launches “Top Dog” Contest
While I am not lucky enough to have my own four-legged friend at home (let’s just say I can barely keep a plant alive) I do have the good fortune of having a business partner and friend who has not one, not two, but three rescue pups which are the most adorable, loving, affectionate, hilarious beasts on the planet,  So while I am officially an auntie and not a mom, I love these girls just as much as their mom Lindsay. Frankly, I fawn all over dogs quite frequently and anytime there is an event surrounding man’s best friend, I go. It’s an auntie’s dream. Play, pet, spoil and then leave before barking, baths, and soiling begin.
The Top Dog Contest which will take place at the Residence Inn Arlington Capital View happens tonight, October 6th. Twenty-six (26) dogs will take part in this competition. That day, notable judges like FRESH FM Morning Show Host Tommy McFly, Fox 5 Anchor Steve Chenevey and Tara DeNicolas, Executive Director of Fashion For Paws Arlington County K-9 officers Dr. Katy Nelson and Bark Busters Trainer Lee Trimble will watch, listen and score the pooch parade. They will finally crown a doggie mascot for the pet friendly extended- stay hotel.
One lucky winner will be selected. Contestants will be put through a series of challenges and scored in an American Idol style competition. The proud Top Dog owners will receive  a 3 night stay at their choice of over 2000 Marriott hotels including breakfast as well as 10% off at restaurant SOCCi  Italian Bar + Grill for one year. The Top Dog will serve as the hotel mascot and make appearances, receive discounts and will be a guest “blogger” for the hotel through May 31st, 2012.
It all takes place October 6th from 6pm-8pm at 2850 South Potomac Avenue in Arlington, VA.
