Tuesday night was definitely exciting for me.  I had the opportunity to attend a sneak peek into the fast paced rehearsal process of the next installment of the Bard’s Broadway: Two Gentlemen of Verona (a rock opera) at the Harman Center for the Arts, not to be mixed up with The Two Gentlemen of Verona (whose review will be up on the Punch) by the Shakespeare Theatre Company, which you can catch currently at the Lansburgh Theatre.

My friend and I arrived at the Harman Center for the Arts at 7:30pm and afterward we were escorted to the Sidney Harman Hall, where the cast was in costumes and running through choreography, and we were able to experience several scenes of the show.

This installment of the Bard’s Broadway is a concert style staged production, featuring full costumes and choreography.  The cast will only have two weeks of rehearsal when the show opens today, Friday, January 27 and only lasts through Sunday, January 29th.  Let me assure you that even though the cast had a very quick rehearsal process, they will still deliver the same high quality results of a full scale production.  The sneak peek definitely left me wanting for more!

Two Gentlemen of Verona is about two friends that compromise their friendship when they fall in love with the same woman.  A must see!
