The non-partisian entertainment advocacy group The Creative Coalition hit the town with its “Night Before Dinner” Sunday evening at one of DC’s newest openings, the Russian eatery Mari Vanna. Â Svedka Vodka was the drink sponsor, naturally. Â The star studded group, headed by Robin Bronk, will hold their own inaugural ball Monday night at the Harman Center for the Arts.
Celebrity guests in attendance included The Creative Coalition president Tim Daly, Paula Abdul, Matt Bomer, Giancarlo Esposito, Taraji P. Henson, Melissa Leo, John Leguizamo, Alfre Woodard, Evan Handler, Omar Epps, Marlon Wayans, David Arquette, Lawrence O’Donnell, Wayne Knight, Roderick Spencer, Senator Paul Strauss, Gia Skova and Lynn Whitfield among others.
Ginza Project Founding Partner and Mari Vanna owner Tatiana Brunetti was spotted greeting diners and sending rounds of celebratory house infused Svedka shots to each table. Guests noshed on signature Russian cuisine such as blinis and beef stroganoff. Mari Vanna DC’s in house accordionist was on hand playing classic oldies and serenading guests on all three floors.
