Did you know that Virginia is really a “wine country”? Growing in strength and numbers as well as global accolades, the Commonwealth’s ideal soil, weather, and tender caretakers, have produced a whopping 230+ wineries which can certainly be daunting . Enter the Washington Wine Academy. The Academy takes out all the guess work for you by procuring the best Virginia wines and bringing them to pop up tastings in the DC area. The most recent pop up featured nine top notch wineries such as RDV, Barboursville, Linden, Pearmund and Trump Winery to name a few.
If you missed this event don’t worry — the Wine Academy plans on hosting more pop ups bringing the best of Virginia’s wines to the DC area. Check their calendar for the latest events: http://washingtonwineacademy.org.
