Tennis the Menace

Ahhh… ‘Tis the season.  I love when I turn on the tele and all I see are handsome men in whites, sweating, running all over the court, throwing all of their energy into slamming a ball with their rackets across the net.  The emotion! The strength! The sponsors! The secret girlfriends in the crowd!  The thrill of victory! The anger of defeat! And can anyone tell me why every announcer sounds like they came from a James Bond movie?

As our own WTT Washington Kastles season kick off draws near, we wanted to share this with you:

Washington Kastle Leander Paes just won the 2009 French Open’s Men’s Double Championship. He and his partner Lukas Dlouhly, defeated Wesley Moodie and Dick Norman (3-6, 6-3, 6-2), so congratulations!  Paes is ranked 5th in the world in Doubles and now has won 9 career Grand Slam titles in Men’s and Mixed Doubles.

Watch Paes and Dlouhy on June 22nd as they team up again at Wimbledon, but watch Paes in person (if you can’t make it over the pond) on July 7th at the Kastles Stadium when they kick off the Home Schedule against Venus Williams and the Philadelphia Freedoms.  Tickets are sale and I cannot wait for the Kastles Season to start!
