The Red Carpet Pass

I’m not one of those people who runs to see a newly released movie in the theatre every weekend.  Frankly, I prefer to sit at home in my pj’s, surrounded by the quiet comfort of my living room, or the exact opposite, which is to attend screenings, film festivals, premieres, and special events surrounding the release of a film.  Lucky for folks like me, Washington’s silver screen industry keeps growing in depth and breadth.  The opportunities to take in never seen before films, listen to iconic stars discuss topics on a panel, and meet award winning directors abound.  And thanks to the DC Film Alliance, I just found myself the best Christmas present.  You may know someone who loves watching movies the same way I do: by way of the red carpet.

The DC Film Alliance invites you to invest in The Red Carpet Pass this holiday season.  The pass allows entry into the opening night screening and party of over a dozen different film festivals (new festivals keep being added).  From shorts to docs, to foreign and local, to action and horror, and more, no genre is left out.

You can get your own pass and/or buy one for a gift for a mere $300 donation to the DC Film Alliance.  And speaking of gifts, $100 of that is tax deductible.  You can buy now at www.dcfilm.org or 202.393.4266.  You’ll receive monthly updates on upcoming festivals and how you can get your best seat.  There won’t be a moment to spare on your calendar.  See you on the red carpet.
