“I wanted to combine my restaurant experience with my love of sports to bring something truly unique to Northern Virginia and the Metro area,†says Jim Speros. “With the opening of Velocity Five I believe I have achieved this goal. My vision was for a special upscale place for fine dining, high tech sports viewing, great music and good times for our customers of all ages. Velocity Five is the result.â€
“We have already completed negotiations to host live radio and television sports talk programming,†Speros added. “Our facility was designed with that goal in mind. We look forward to many memorable media events at Velocity Five.â€

Sounds interesting. I plan to visit you during football season.
YOU HAVE TO COME SEE THIS PLACE! IT’S ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND SO UPSCALE FOR THE LOCATION. DON’T GO ALL THE WAY TO D.C. TO HAVE A GREAT NIGHT, COME TO VELOCITY 5!
GRAND OPENING IS TUESDAY, MARCH 18TH BUT THEY ARE OPEN NOW, IF YOU’RE NOT INTO CRAZY CROWDS.
ALSO, THE ENTIRE FACILITY, IS NON-SMOKING! I CAN’T EXPRESS IN MERE WORDS HOW ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE THIS VENUE IS!
COME SEE FOR YOURSELF!
SINCERELY,
REBECCA C. SANGINE
The location is a bit suspect…right around the corner from the Vienna Metro where those young women have been molested…hope he does well…you won’t see me there anytime soon…chics and wings in Tysons is closer and safer…
Location a bit suspect???? Everywhere can be a “bit suspect” including chics and wings where there are a bunch of dirty old used car salesmen who hang out there that are more than willing to ruffy a womans drink. Chics and wings SUCKS ewww what a DUMP! Sounds like a person who is monetaraly invested in chics and wings swrote that!!
It’s actually right down the street from the Dunn Loring metro not Vienna.
Velocity has a nice relaxed atmosphere, very professional appearance and as for chics and wings well the name says it all. NO need to say more. I have lived in Vienna my whole life and I feel it is one of the safest areas in VA, so ladies no need to worry(unless you know the wrong people). You have to try their wings, THEY ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR WINGS….Great place, can’t wait till football season starts so I can watch my SKINS.
This place rocks! Anybody who doesn’t come to Velocity 5 is insane! I can’t wait to see all the games at this incredible restaurant!
We went to Velocity Five last night and had an incredible time. I highly recommend everyone checking it out!
i think it’s great to have a new, fresh establishment in the area. I have not been there yet but cannot wait to go. There’s always folks willing to put a dark cloud over everything. I say good luck to Velocity 5
Any place that does promotions with Gary Clark is looking for trouble.
Lay down with dogs, wake up with fleas.
Chics n Wings sucks ass. Over-aged, not even middle-aged, geezers who just rip cigars and cigarettes. There should be a few hotter “chics” in there and less douche bag guys. TV’s don’t do justice like V5′s. Plus Chics n Wings is freaking 20ft by 20ft. V5 dominates that dump. Looks classy, excellent tv’s and space.
Velocity Five is alright. Sweet Water Tavern is located a few minutes away, too. The desserts at Sweet Water Tavern are very good.
