Vida Fitness Zumba Riot

The highlight of my month so far has been a *Zumba event I went to last Saturday. I had the great opportunity to dance, dance, and dance (which is my preferred pastime of all time) with a group of top-notch fitness instructors from Vida Fitness (my fave gym in DC) and other DC area gyms at DC’s new and hot comedy club that opened recently around my area, the Riot Act Comedy.
My roommate and I took a short walk from home to the Riot Act comedy club, and as soon as we walked through the door, we were met with a big line of super pumped group of people wearing very fashionable gym attire. We did a quick check in and went down the stairs to meet the rest of our dance crew. The energy was palpable and intense everyone was super excited, happy and looking forward to dance and enjoy the show the wonderful Zumba instructors had been planning for weeks.
As soon as Tami (one of the best Zumba instructors ever) opened the door, hundreds of Zumba fans walked in and were greeted by the super suave and electrifying team of instructors.
Minutes later the non-stop Zumbaton began and it was a one hour straight dance party, with a short break and then one more hour of moving your hips. What better than this to bright up your day on a cold Saturday?
The great thing about this Latin dance inspired fitness program is that it doesn’t matter if you are a wannabe dancer, a fitness lover, or you want to do it just for fun, it works for all skill levels because it includes music with fast and slow rhythms, as well as resistance training.
During the break, Comedians Zach Toczynski and Chris Doucette, DC’s very own Gay-Larious duo who created the monthly gay-themed comedy show at Riot Act, made cameo appearances bringing hilarity to this Zumba® extravaganza.
Rumor was that this is going to turn into a quarterly event. The next one can’t come soon enough! Don’t miss it!
*Zumba Fitness® is the only Latin-inspired dance-fitness program that blends red-hot international music, created by Grammy Award-winning producers, and contagious steps to form a “fitness-party” that is downright addictive.
Since its inception in 2001, the Zumba program has grown to become the world’s largest – and most successful – dance-fitness program with more than 12 million people of all shapes, sizes and ages taking weekly Zumba classes in over 110,000 locations across more than 125 countries.

ZUMBA® We walked out of the class, sweat pouring down, with a big smile on our faces. Our class really did feel more like a party than a workout, and the most fun you’ve ever had exercising!
Thank you Loreanayou coming!
Great great fun!
