Visit the National Museum of Crime and Punishment

CSI lab exhibit

I discovered a hidden treasure in DC for us people who are into thrills and frills.  The National Museum of Crime and Punishment has it all to satisfy our curiosity.  In this museum, every visitor is able to explore the history of crime, law enforcement, forensic science, crime scene investigation CSI (females favorite exhibit), and the consequences of committing a crime.  We had the privilege to get a tour from Janine Vaccarello, COO of the Crime Museum, she gave us an update on the new exhibits and the future plans for the museum, which are incredible, I already foresee myself visiting this museum many times.

CSI lab crime scene

A few of my favorites were the Mob exhibit, the FBI Agent Training- you can practice your aim in a simulated FBI shooting range, the High Speed Police Simulator- drive in a police academy training pursuit, and the serial killers exhibit. However, I do have to say that the two things that I loved the most was seeing “Americas Most Wanted” stage set and the CSI lab in which we entered a crime scene and interacted to solve the case in a real crime scene lab.  Very cool indeed!

Don’t wait any longer and visit the Crime Museum located at 575 7th Street NW by the Verizon Center, tickets are for sale online at www.crimemuseum.org.
