We hear that WagTime, DC’s indoor & outdoor (they have a rooftop terrace – see, even dogs get to take advantage of views in DC!) pet “resort” is celebrating its new 6,000 sq ft state of the art facility. It’s all about the comfort, care, and pampering of these pups. The space is in Shaw, a cool neighborhood that is becoming hipper and revitalized.

The owners, Lisa Schreiber and Ofer Khal invested plenty of time (8 months of redesign) and dough ($1.2 million) to get this spot (pun intended) as perfect as it comes. They even received the title of “Best Doggie Daycare in DC” by the Washington City Paper.

From Valet Barking (owners can drive up and drop off curbside, great for those rushing to work), to the Woof Deck (available for private puppy parties and events), to three separate areas for dogs to play (divided by sizes), to the central air, heat and large windows and tons of toys, this place up dogging it.

Want to see how he behaves when you are not around? Along the lines of a nanny cam, clients will soon be able to have free access online to watch Killer play nice with others.

The Paw Spa gets your dog to the level of beauty she deserves and you can even buy her a therapeutic massage. There’s cage free boarding, home doggie Power Walking, pet pick up and drop off services, and pet adoption through the Washington Humane Society, Recycled Love and Rescue Angels. And Bo’s not going to be the only spoiled dog in this city. Oh no he’s not. Bark Avenue, the in house retail space features organic and nutritious foods, treats, fashionable petwear, gifts, and toys. And lastly, if you are a kitty person, no fear. You are not discriminated against. At home feline care includes a 30-minute visit from a Wagtime employee that is filled with fun and play, plus food and litter freshening.
