Walk from the Park

Freer & Sackler Galleries

one of my favorites : Smithsonian Freer & Sackler Galleries, a place where my sister and I walked within then from, all over the city, last summer

You’ve heard of “a walk in the park”, well this is “a walk from the park” - Park Hyatt that is.  One of the many great things about our nation’s capital that I have found in particular, is that it is ideal for walking around.  Not only is it not very spread out, the city is also beautiful, with visions of flora and fauna every where you turn, plus there are paths, sidewalks, sitting areas, fountains, a body of water and of course, main attractions like the monuments, museums, and historical buildings and landmarks.  It’s not difficult to navigate at all (especially if you can count and know your ABC’s).

The Park Hyatt has created a package for tourists or for people who want to view the city afoot versus awheel.  Believe you me, the city is my muse and walking it gives one a whole different perspective, it’s great exercise and it clears your mind (or gives you new ideas).

With the “Walk from the Park” package, upon check-in, guests will receive a walking map of the city, specially prepared by the hotel’s concierge, providing the perfect opportunity to indulge in the area’s top leisure attractions.  Then, after a long day of walking around the city and sightseeing, guests can retreat to their spacious room to relax and regenerate with a soothing, hot bath in the spa-inspired soaking tub.

The Walk from the Park package is available April 23 through October 28, 2012 with rates starting at $285 per night, excluding tax and gratuities. The package includes the following amenities:

Complimentary upgrade to a signature Premier Park Deluxe room, the largest deluxe room in Washington

DuPont Circle Seasonal Market Fruit Platter offering a fresh selection of locally-sourced ripe fruits and berries

Aromatic bath salts and tea lights for use in the guestroom’s spa-like soaking tub, to revitalize after a full day of walking and sightseeing

Guests may also take advantage of Park Hyatt Washington’s Bicycle Valet Program, including a 4-hour complimentary bike rental for adults and children.

To reserve this package and a second room for children 18 years and under (for $109 per night), please call Park Hyatt Reservations at +1 800 778 7477 and ask for the Families at the Park plan to accompany the Walk from the Park package.
