Oiii…Miss P! I’ve made it my mission this year to teach everyone the proper use of an abv for St. Patrick’s Day. “Patty’s Day” is an Americanism that irritates the hell out of an Irish person (those who grew up in Ireland to be more precise). No one in Ireland is actually called Patty…We use St. Patrick’s Day and we commonly abv it to Paddy’s Day. Paddy comes from an abv for Padraig, the Irish for Patrick…Not that I expect the world to know but I do intend to spread the word to everyone that knows me :)
