"You Lost Him at Hello"

Story of my life? Pretty much, but actually also the title of Jess McCann’s new self-help book. In You Lost Him at Hello: A Saleswoman’s Secrets to Closing the Deal with Any Guy You Want, Jess applies her successful skills in sales to her dating life. Apparently, it works, and Jess is generous enough to share her secrets with the rest of us gals. If you’re going to sell anything, it may as well be your most prized possession… yourself!
Last night, Jess graced the City Tavern Club in Georgetown from 6-9 p.m. to promote her book and share her knowledge with the ladies – and a surprising number of gentlemen – of DC. And like any good salesperson, Jess brought the bait: lots of free cocktails, courtesy of Cointreau and Red Bull, and tasty cupcakes from Georgetown Cupcake (I highly recommend the red velvet).
The room was packed, and even though it was sweltering due to technical difficulties with the air conditioning, we all hung around to meet the very approachable and witty Jess McCann. Although You Lost Him at Hello technically doesn’t hit stores until September 2nd, attendees could purchase a signed (in pink pen, of course!) copy of the book at last night’s event.
If Jess has sold you on selling yourself, you can pre-order your copy now to have her words of wisdom at your fingertips in no time. Get ready to say goodbye to your dating woes! Even if they do make for some pretty good stories.
